[April 30, 2012] Two weeks ago, Lexmark introduced the new letter/A4-sized C740 color laser printers and X740 MFPs. Since Lexmark introduced the C730 and X730 series nearly three years ago, the market has changed dramatically, and times have changed. Now, businesses are looking for even more productivity and security features, and they want all of these new bells and whistles to use less power—a tall order indeed, but one that Lexmark satisfies with the C740 and X740 series.

[April 12, 2012] Xerox’s introduction of the Phaser 8860 in September 2007 garnered a lot of attention because of the firm’s promise to deliver “color printing for the price of mono.” While the firm continued this strategy with the April 3 release of the ColorQube 8700 and 8900, the new products’ 44 ppm speed for black and color printing makes a statement all its own. The new Xerox 8700 and 8900 have made significant advances in price/performance of solid ink jet products for the office. By offering faster and lower-cost A4 printing capability on office MFPs, Xerox is bringing down some of the barriers to color in the office.
